Digital Nostalgia – Wired Italy

A new edition of my Digital Nostalgia work commissioned for Wired Italy. All the information from the previous project was updated with most parts requiring a complete redesign to fit into a magazine format. I was given full control over layout and typography and Wired gave me use of metallic inks and thicker paper just for my section.

This was published in Wired Italy, March 2010 issue.

Mobile Revolution Wired UK

A new version of one of my Digital Nostalgia posters with some new information and fitted into a magazine format. This spread shows the major milestones of mobile phones, not just in technology, but in social importance. They range from the very first commercial model to the beginnings of mainstream consumer adoption and on to the best selling models of their generation.

The Forgotten Defenders

A two page spread for a Zine project. The given themes were British, 50+ years old, and three and it had to be in black and white.

My design is based on the British attempt at a nuclear deterrent during the Cold War, which to my mind has largely been forgotten by today’s society. The men who flew these machines were tasked with defending our island nation, knowing if they were ever launched in anger, they probably wouldn’t survive, and there might not be anything for them to return to.
